Terrebonne man dies in Harney County crash

A Terrebonne man died on New Year’s Eve after he was ejected from his vehicle following a crash on Highway 20 in Harney County. According to police, Christopher Emmanuel Cortez Morales, 25, was driving westbound from Burns while not wearing a seatbelt about 5:37 p.m. on Dec. 31 when he lost control and swerved into oncoming traffic. His Honda Accord clipped an eastbound Audi driven by Jennifer Carey, 53, of Bend. Morales’s vehicle rolled and he was ejected from it. Morales died at the scene. Carey was reportedly uninjured.
