Palestinian embassy urges UK action to end Israel’s occupation

The Palestinian embassy in London has called for “urgent action, accountability, and an end to Israel’s unlawful occupation” as it welcomed “recent shifts in UK policy”. The appeal follows Britain’s announcement of sanctions on goods from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Israel responded by closing the British consulate in occupied East Jerusalem. In its post on X, the embassy shared footage of diplomat Marwan Yaghi speaking in Liverpool ahead of the Labour Party conference. Arise Festival and Labour Palestine organised the meeting.
