A UK company, a Greek owner and Netanyahu's former lawyer: Who really owns Serbia's Israeli drone venture?

Late last week, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic inaugurated a factory producing Israeli -made drones, giving his military and the local economy a boost during an election year. Serbia will vote on 25 October and Vucic, president since 2017, is seeking to return as prime minister, as he is ineligible to run in the presidential election in 2027. First reported by BIRN and Haaretz in April, the partnership was expected to bring together Serbia’s state arms producer, Yugoimport-SDPR, and the Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems. But it was the set-up of the commercial drone partnership that has raised eyebrows.
